Sustainable School Activities
Many schools have visited the Taranaki Environment Centre over the past years for hands-on activity times covering all kinds of learning activities such as:
Food waste recycling - investigating worm farms & bokashi systems, making compost, brewing compost tea, how the compost toilet works.
Food harvesting & processing - juicing drinks, grinding grains, cooking damper bread on an open fire, making pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven

Food growing - making potting mix, planting seeds, propagating cuttings, feeding compost to the soil
Looking at microscopic organisms in compost, water and soil

Learning about water systems and more.
